Overview - Ribbed Belt Drive For Vehicles With Hydraulic Power Steering

Ribbed Belt
- Check for wear
- Before removing, mark direction of rotation using chalk or felt-tip marker
- Removing and installing. Refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH HYDRAULIC POWER STEERING .
- Do not kink
- When installing, make sure it is seated correctly on the ribbed belt pulleys
Bolt
- 20 Nm +90° turn
- Replace
Generator
- Removing and installing. Refer to GENERATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Bolt
- Tightening specification: .
  Steel bolt - 23 Nm
  
  Aluminum bolt - 8 Nm +180°
Idler Roller Cover
Idler Roller for Ribbed Belt
- 40 Nm
- 37 Nm when using Wrench - Door Adjusting 3320
Bolt
- Tightening specification and sequence: diagonally in stages to 9 Nm
Bolt
- Tightening specification: 20 Nm
Coolant Pump Ribbed Belt Pulley
- Removing and installing. Refer to COOLANT PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Bolt
- Tightening specification: 9 Nm
Coolant Pump
- Removing and installing. Refer to COOLANT PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Sealing Flange, Belt Pulley Side
- Replacing. Refer to SEALING FLANGE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, BELT PULLEY SIDE .
Bolt
- Tightening specification: 25 Nm.
Power Steering Pump Bracket
Slide Bushing
Bolt
- Tightening specification: 25 Nm.
Power Steering Pump
- Removing and installing. Refer to VANE PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Power Steering Pump Belt Pulley
- Removing and installing. Refer to OVERVIEW - POWER STEERING PUMP .
Bolt
- Tightening specification: 22 Nm
Ribbed Belt Tensioner
- 40 Nm
- Removing and installing. Refer to RIBBED BELT TENSIONER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH HYDRAULIC POWER STEERING .
A/C Compressor Bracket
- Removing and installing. Refer to Compressor, removing and installing from bracket .
Bolt
- Tightening specification: .
  1. Aluminum bolts (item -A-) 8 Nm +180°
  2. Steel bolts (here -B- and -C-) 25 Nm
A/C Compressor
- Do not unfasten/separate refrigerant lines
- Removing and installing. Refer to A/C COMPRESSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Bolt
- Tightening specification:
  1. Aluminum bolts (item -A-) 8 Nm +180°
  2. Steel bolts (here -B- and -C-) 25 Nm
Alignment Sleeve
- Quantity: 2
Tensioner Cover
Vibration Damper
- With double ribbed belt pulley
- Removing and installing. Refer to VIBRATION DAMPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Tighten the bolts -arrows- diagonally in stages to 9 Nm.
