Headrest Guide, Removing And Installing, Super-Sport Seat: Removing
- Follow all Safety Precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
- Before handling airbag units (for example, disconnecting electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching the door striker, for example.
-- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, POWER .
-- Attach the front seat to the Engine/Transmission Holder - Seat Repair Fixture:VAS6136 . Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .
-- Remove the backrest cover. Refer to BACKREST COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, TWO PIECE .
-- Remove the cover and padding/headrest from the backrest. Refer to BACKREST COVER AND CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, SUPER SPORT SEAT .
Headrest Guide without Release Button
-- Press the retaining tabs -arrows- on the headrest guide toward the center of the headrest guide.
-- Hold the retaining tabs down.
-- Pull headrest guide -1- upward out of backrest frame -2-.
Headrest Guide With Release Button
-- Press the retaining tabs -arrows- on the headrest guide toward the center of the headrest guide.
-- Hold the retaining tabs down.
-- Pull headrest guide -1- upward out of backrest frame -2-.
