Front Thorax Airbag With Igniter, Removing And Installing: Removing
WARNING:

- Follow the additional safety precautions when working with the thorax airbag. Refer to ADDITIONAL THORAX AIRBAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
- Follow all regulations when disposing of pyrotechnic components. Refer to AIRBAG, BELT TENSIONER AND BATTERY CUT-OUT UNITS, STORING, TRANSPORTING AND DISPOSING (PYROTECHNIC COMPONENTS) .
-- Remove the front seat:
- Standard seat and sport seat (manual). Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, MANUAL .
- Standard and Power Sport Seat, Comfort Seat and Super Sport Seat. Refer to POWER FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Attach the front seat to the Engine/Transmission Holder - Seat Repair Fixture:VAS6136 . Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .
-- Remove the backrest cover. Refer to OVERVIEW - BACKREST COVER, TWO-PIECE BACKREST COVER WITH BACKREST FRAME TRIM .
-- Remove the front backrest:
- Standard seat and sport seat (manual). Refer to FRONT BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, STANDARD SEAT/SPORT SEAT/SUPER SPORT SEAT .
- Standard and Power Sport Seat, Comfort Seat and Super Sport Seat. Refer to FRONT BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, POWER STANDARD SEAT .
-- Free up the wiring harness -1- from the connector station to the thorax airbag.
-- Remove the seat cover from the backrest until the thorax airbag screw -6- is accessible. Refer to BACKREST COVER AND CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, STANDARD/SPORT SEAT .
-- Remove the bolt -6-.
-- Remove the thorax airbag -5- with the hooks -2, 3 and 4- from the backrest frame while guiding the thorax airbag wiring harness.
