Overview - ATF System

CAUTION:
Danger of causing damage to the transmission.
- Do not start the engine when there is no ATF in the transmission or if the ATF pan has been removed.
NOTE:
Always replace the Mechatronic unit if it is dirty or defective.
Clean working conditions for the automatic transmission. Refer to GUIDELINES FOR CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
General repair instructions. Refer to GENERAL REPAIR INFORMATION .
Coat O-rings and seals with ATF. Other types of lubrication lead to faults in the transmission hydraulics.

- 2.5 Nm + 90° turn
- Replacing

- Follow the tightening sequence. Refer to OIL PAN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
