Dual Mass Flywheel, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the left flange shaft. Refer to LEFT FLANGE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING (As of 11.2014)..

-- Attach the Puller - Clutch Module T40176 to the dual mass flywheel -A- with the nut -B- -arrow-.

-- Turn the Puller - Clutch Module T40176 upward.

NOTE:

To prevent the dual-mass flywheel from tilting, counterhold it underneath as illustrated.

-- Remove the dual-mass flywheel from the input shaft -arrows-.

CAUTION:

Danger of causing damage to the transfer plate on the dual mass flywheel.

  • Do not lay the dual mass flywheel on one side on the transfer plate -arrow-.
  • This could bend the transfer plate -arrow-, which will then lead to functionality problems.

-- Set the dual mass flywheel down carefully, for example on the workbench.
