Connection Diagram - Coolant Hoses

NOTE:

Blue = large coolant circuit.

Red = small coolant circuit.

Yellow = cylinder block coolant circuit.

Brown = heating circuit.

The arrows show the coolant flow direction.

Vehicles without Parking Heater

  1. Radiator
    • With ATF cooler
    • Change the coolant after replacing
  2. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet -G83-
  3. Map Controlled Engine Cooling Thermostat -F265-
  4. Cylinder Block
    • Cylinder bank 1 (right)
    • Change the coolant after replacing
  5. Check Valve
  6. Cylinder Head
    • Cylinder bank 1 (right)
    • Change the coolant after replacing
  7. Check Valve
  8. Bleed Screw
  9. Heater Core for Heater
  10. Coolant Recirculation Pump -V50-
  11. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor -G62-
  12. Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Cooler
    • Change the coolant after replacing
  13. Check Valve
  14. Reducing Agent Injector -N474-
    • Only for vehicles with the engine codes CTBA and CTBC
  15. Check Valve
  16. Cylinder Head
    • Cylinder bank 2 (left)
    • Change the coolant after replacing
  17. Cover
  18. Coolant Reservoir
  19. Check Valve
  20. Cylinder Block
    • Cylinder bank 2 (left)
    • Change the coolant after replacing
  21. Coolant Shut-Off Valve
  22. Engine Temperature Control Sensor -G694-
  23. Engine Oil Cooler
    • Change the coolant after replacing
  24. Coolant Pump
  25. Check Valve

Vehicles with Parking Heater

  1. Radiator
    • With ATF cooler
    • Change the coolant after replacing
  2. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet -G83-
  3. Map Controlled Engine Cooling Thermostat -F265-
  4. Parking Heater
  5. Cylinder Block
    • Cylinder bank 1 (right)
    • Change the coolant after replacing
  6. Check Valve
  7. Cylinder Head
    • Cylinder bank 1 (right)
    • Change the coolant after replacing
  8. Check Valve
  9. Heater Coolant Shut-Off Valve -N279-
  10. Bleeder Screw
  11. Heater Core for Heater
  12. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor -G62-
  13. Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Cooler
    • Change the coolant after replacing
  14. Check Valve
  15. Reducing Agent Injector -N474-
    • Only for vehicles with the engine codes CTBA and CTBC
  16. Check Valve
  17. Cylinder Head
    • Cylinder bank 2 (left)
    • Change the coolant after replacing
  18. Cover
