Turbocharger Control Module 1 -J724-, CALIBRATING: Notes

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• E-Positioner Service Kit: VAS6395A  or E-Box: VAS6395A/1 
• Turbo E-Positioner Service Kit - Wire Set: VAS6395/2 
• Turbo E-Positioner Service Kit - Bracket: VAS6395/6 

Removing 

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Release the cover and move it to the side in direction of -arrow-.

-- Connect the E-Box: VAS6395A/1  to the positive terminal -2- and to the Ground (GND) using the Connection Cable: VAS6395/2  .

Procedure for E-Box: VAS6395A/1  :

-- Select the software version using the ↑  -5- and ↓  -6- buttons.

-- Press the v  button -4- to confirm the software version.

Control module with black plastic cover = Hella

Control module with aluminum cover = Siemens VDO

-- If in doubt, find out who is the manufacturer of the control module.

Procedure for Turbo E-Positioner Service Kit: VAS6395/1  :

Check the software version of the Turbo E-Positioner Service Kit: VAS6395/1  :

If the correct software is loaded, the following will be displayed on the E-box : VAS6395/1  (2 seconds after the voltage supply is connected):

1. > 1. START
2. 2. NEXT [>]
