Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor -G62-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Procedure

Depending on the model, preliminary work may be required. Refer to COOLANT PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Quickly open the coolant reservoir cap and release any remaining pressure in the cooling system and then close it again.

-- Place a cloth underneath to catch any escaping coolant.

TIP:

Different versions depending on models and version.

-- Disconnect the connector -1-.

-- Press the locking mechanisms in direction of -arrows- and remove the clip.

-- Remove the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor -G62- -2-.

-- Disconnect the connector -2-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the retaining plate -1-.

-- Remove the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor -G62-.

All: 

-- Insert the new engine coolant temperature sensor immediately so that as little coolant is lost as possible.

-- Check the coolant level. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .
