Fresh Air Intake, Removing And Installing: Notes

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 13 other vehicles, including the 2017 Audi SQ5, 2017 Audi Q5, 2016 Audi SQ5, 2016 Audi Q5, and 2015 Audi SQ5. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:

Depending on the version, for some countries with high dust levels (for example China), a dust filter -C- is installed in the filter mount -B- instead of the intake grille -A-. The dust filter -C- prevents pollen and sand from getting sucked into the Fresh Air Blower -V2- .

Make sure when removing the dust filter -C- that dirt does not fall into the A/C intake shroud.

The dust filter -C- is held in the filter mount -B- with the tab -D-.

Note the replacement interval for the dust filter -C-. Refer to Maintenance Table

Clean the air intake shroud and the area around the dust filter -C- in the plenum chamber before installing a new filter.

Pay attention to the air flow direction -arrows- when installing the dust filter -C-.
