Selector Shaft, Cleaning

Procedure

End cover removed. Refer to END COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Transmission Control Module -J217- is removed. Refer to TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

NOTE:

Refer to GUIDELINES FOR CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

-- Clean the selector shaft catch -arrows-. Use a lint-free cloth. Clean contact surfaces of magnet especially thoroughly. Make sure there no metal shavings on it.

NOTE:

Make sure that spring -1- and the roller -4- are secured properly.

-- Check the roller -4- and spring -1- for damage; replace if necessary.
