Brake Shield, Removing And Installing, Ceramic Brakes 1LW: Installing

Replace the bolts.

-- Attach the brake shield -8- with new bolts -9- and tighten to 9 Nm.

WARNING:

Handle the brake rotor with care. A damaged brake rotor must be replaced.

Do not hit the brake rotor with force when installing it onto the wheel hub.

-- Install the brake rotor. Refer to BRAKE ROTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, CERAMIC BRAKES 1LW 

Replace the bolts.

NOTE:

When positioning the brake rotor, do not tilt it on the wheel hub.

-- Install the new brake rotor bolt -6- and tighten.

-- Install the brake caliper. Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, CERAMIC BRAKES 1LW .

-- Install the wheels. Refer to WHEEL BOLT TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .

-- Check brake fluid level, and fill if necessary.

CAUTION:

After the first drive, depress brake pedal firmly several times with vehicle stationary so that the brake pads are properly seated in their normal operating position.

CAUTION:

Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.
