Selector Shaft Seal, Replacing: Installing

-- Lightly coat the outer circumference of the shaft seal with oil.

-- Fill the space between the sealing and dust lip halfway with Sealing Grease G 052 128 A1.

-- Drive in the shaft seal using the Shock Absorber Set Socket T10001/1.

• Installed dimension: 2 mm below the outer edge of the housing

-- Install the selector lever as follows:

• The gearshift lever -2- can be attached to the gearshift shaft -1- in only one position (gap in the splines -arrow-).

-- Tighten the selector lever. Tightening specification, refer to -item  18- Nut (See Figure).

-- Install the rear noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .
