Clutch Slave Cylinder, Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

NOTE:

If damaged, replace the O-ring.

If clutch slave cylinder is guided on at an angle, there is the danger that the plunger may be guided past the clutch release lever.

-- Preload the clutch slave cylinder -1- enough that the mounting bolt -3- can be inserted easily. Tightening specification, refer to "Clutch Hydraulics" -item 17- Bolt (See Figure).

-- Press the clip -2- all the way in.

-- Insert the line into the clutch slave cylinder until it engages.

-- Pull on the hose/line assembly to make sure it is secure.

-- Bleed the clutch system. Refer to CLUTCH MECHANISM, BLEEDING .

-- Install the rear noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .
