1. Suspended Mount
   • Always replace if damaged.
   • Check pretension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
2. Bolt
   • 23 Nm
3. Center Muffler
   • Original equipment as one unit with rear muffler. For repairs, replace each separately
   • Separating point. Refer to EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS, SEPARATING .
   • Align the exhaust system free of tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
4. Suspended Mount
   • Always replace if damaged.
   • Check pretension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
5. Front Muffler
   • With a flex joint
     CAUTION:

     Danger Of Damaging The Decoupling Element.

     • Decoupling element must not be bent more than 10°.
     • Do not load decoupling element on cable.
     • Do not damage wire mesh at decoupling element.
   • Removing and installing. Refer to FRONT MUFFLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Align the exhaust system free of tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
6. Seal
   • Always replace after removing
7. Nut
   • 23 Nm
   • Always replace after removing
8. Suspended Mount
   • Always replace if damaged.
   • Check pretension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
9. Bolt
   • 23 Nm
10. Front Clamping Sleeve
    • Before tightening, align exhaust system free of tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
    • Installed position. Refer to the appropriate service information.
    • Tighten bolts evenly
11. Nut
    • 23 Nm
12. Bolt
    • 23 Nm
13. Suspended Mount
    • Always replace if damaged.
    • Check pretension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
14. Bolt
    • 23 Nm
15. Rear Muffler
    • Left with the Exhaust Door Control Unit -J883-
    • Original equipment as one unit with center muffler. For repairs, replace each separately
    • Separating point. Refer to EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS, SEPARATING .
    • Align the exhaust system free of tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
    • Exhaust Door Control Unit -J883-, Removing and Installing. Refer to Exhaust Door Control Unit -J883-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
16. Nut
    • 23 Nm
17. Rear Clamping Sleeve
    • Before tightening, align exhaust system free of tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
    • Installed position. Refer to the appropriate service information.
    • Tighten Bolts Evenly

• Threaded connections point toward the right.
• Nuts face up.
• α = approximately 20°

-- Install the clamping sleeve so that the ends of the bolt do not extend beyond the lower edge of the clamping sleeve.

• Threaded connections point toward the left.
