Heater Coolant Shut-Off Valve -N279-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

NOTE:

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps that match the ones used in series production. Refer to the Parts information.

Make sure this parts do not come in direct contact with the vehicle body or any other parts.

-- Make sure that, when sliding on the coolant hoses, as little air as possible remains in the shut-off valve and in the coolant hoses. Refer to COOLANT CIRCUIT, BLEEDING .

CAUTION:

The coolant flow direction is marked on the Heater Coolant Shut-Off Valve -N279-.
Be sure the coolant hoses are connected correctly to the Heater Coolant Shut-Off Valve -N279-.
Interchanged coolant hoses can result in failure of the passenger compartment heater due to the incorrect flow direction of the coolant.
Coolant hoses that are bent cannot allow enough coolant to flow causing the passenger compartment heating to fail.

-- Tighten the bolts -3- to 8 Nm.

-- Check the coolant level and bleed the coolant circuit. When doing so, make sure to observe the relevant instructions. Refer to COOLANT CIRCUIT, BLEEDING .

-- Check the activation and the functionality of the Heater Coolant Shut-Off Valve -N279-, using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
