Charge Air System, Checking For Leaks: Notes

Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Turbo System Tester Kit:VAG1687
Procedure
-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING . .
-- Loosen the hose clamp -arrow-, pull off the air guide hose and move it to the side.
-- Depending on the hose diameter, insert the :VAG1687/10 , :1687/11 or :VAG1687/12 in the air guide hose -1- and secure with a hose clamp.
-- Connect the :VAG1687 as illustrated above.

NOTE:
Secure all hose connections with hose clamps that match the ones used in series production. Refer to the Parts information.
