Approved Refrigerant Oils And Refrigerant Oil Capacities For Refrigerant R134A

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2018 Audi S6, 2018 Audi A6 Quattro, 2018 Audi A6, 2017 Audi S6, and 2017 Audi A6 Quattro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The special refrigerant oil that is only used for refrigerant circuits with refrigerant R134a is not always commercially available. Refer to the parts information.

Refrigerant R134a and refrigerant oil. .

-- Discharging, evacuating and filling the refrigerant circuit. .

-- Operate the A/C system after filling the refrigerant circuit. Refer to A/C SYSTEM, STARTING OPERATION AFTER FILLING REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT (Refrigerant R134a, Servicing; A/C System, General Information). After recharging, before activating the A/C system.

CAUTION:

Malfunctions due to filling the A/C system with the wrong refrigerant oil.

  • Only fill the refrigerant circuit with approved refrigerant oils. Refer to the parts information. The correct refrigerant oil depends on the manufacturer and the type of A/C compressor installed. .

Malfunctions due to improper filling of the A/C system with refrigerant oil.

  • Too much refrigerant oil in the refrigerant circuit increases the pressures and reduces the cooling output of the system.
  • Too little refrigerant oil in the refrigerant circuit can lead to A/C compressor failure due to lubrication problems.

Danger of corrosion in the refrigerant circuit.

  • Refrigerant oil absorbs moisture. Do not use refrigerant oil from containers that have been left open for a long period of time. .

Important information:

Refrigerant oil attracts moisture. Close any opened containers immediately after use to prevent moisture from entering.
