Receiver/Dryer, Removing And Installing With Dryer Cartridge (Only For AUDI A6 E-Tron): Removing

-- For vehicles with a high-voltage system (Audi A6 e-tron), switch off (deactivate) the "parking air conditioner" function. Refer to the Owner's Manual and Infotainment/MMI Operating Manual.

-- Switch off the ignition.

-- Discharge the refrigerant circuit. Refer to appropriate service information. .

-- Remove the impact member. Refer to IMPACT MEMBER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

WARNING:

Danger due to refrigerant coming out under pressure.

Danger of frost bite to skin and other parts of the body.

Evacuate the refrigerant and immediately open the refrigerant circuit afterward.
If more than 10 minutes have elapsed since evacuating the refrigerant and the refrigerant circuit was not opened, evacuate the refrigerant again. Pressure in the refrigerant circuit is caused by evaporation.

-- Remove the bolts -A- (tightening specification: 9 Nm) and remove the refrigerant lines -B and C- from the receiver/dryer -F-.

NOTE:

Seal the open line connections at the connection point and the receiver/dryer with clean plugs, for example from the :VAS6122 .

-- Remove the nuts -A- (or screws) (tightening specification: 4.5 Nm) and remove the receiver/dryer -B- from the bracket.
