Receiver/Dryer, Removing And Installing At Condenser (Not For AUDI A6 E-Tron): Removing

-- Discharge the refrigerant circuit. Refer to appropriate service information. .

-- Remove the lock carrier cover. Refer to ATTACHMENTS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-, if applicable.

-- Remove the air guide -1-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the air guide -1- on the intermediate flange -2- for the air filter housing.

-- On vehicles without a charge air cooler, remove the bumper cover end plate. Refer to ATTACHMENTS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the charge air cooler. Refer to CHARGE AIR COOLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [For engine(s) CREC, CREH] or CHARGE AIR COOLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [For engine(s) CTGE, CEUC] .

-- Push the protective boot -B- on the connection point upward.

-- Remove the bolts -A-.

-- Remove the bolt -C- and the bracket -D- upward.

-- Remove the receiver/dryer -F- upward from the condenser -E- -arrow-.

NOTE:

Be sure not to lose the rubber grommet -B- when removing the receiver/dryer.

Seal open connections on the receiver/dryer and condenser with suitable caps (to prevent dirt and moisture from entering).
