Overview - Condenser, With Connections To Receiver/Dryer

NOTE:

There are different versions of the condenser. The Audi A6 e-tron has additional connections to the receiver/dryer. Refer to the Parts information.

For this model line, only vehicles with a high-voltage system were or are currently being manufactured that had or are having the refrigerant circuit charged with refrigerant R134a.

  1. Nuts (or Bolt)
    • 4.5 Nm
    • Quantity: 2
      NOTE:

      There are different versions. Refer to the Parts information.

  2. Receiver/Dryer with Dryer Bag
    • There are different versions. Refer to the Parts information.
    • Removing and installing. Refer to RECEIVER/DRYER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING WITH DRYER CARTRIDGE (ONLY FOR AUDI A6 E-TRON) .
      NOTE:

      Depending on the version, the receiver/dryer is integrated at or attached to the condenser on all vehicles except for the Audi A6 e-tron.

      On the Audi A6 e-tron, the receiver/dryer is a separate component; it is connected to the condenser by two refrigerant lines.

  3. O-Ring
    • Replace. Refer to the Parts information for the version.
    • Coat with refrigerant oil before installing. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
  4. Refrigerant Line
    • Supply from the condenser
    • Connect on the correct side
  5. Refrigerant Line
    • Return from the condenser
    • Connect on the correct side
  6. Bolt
    • 9 Nm
  7. Nut
    • 9 Nm
    • Instead of the threaded pin and nut, a bolt may also be installed. Refer to the Parts information.
  8. Condenser
  9. O-Ring
    • Replace. Refer to the Parts information for the version.
    • Coat with refrigerant oil before installing. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
  10. O-Ring
    • Replace. Refer to the Parts information for the version.
    • Coat with refrigerant oil before installing. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
