Component Location Overview - Components Inside Front Passenger Compartment, Left Side Of Passenger Compartment

  1. Left Footwell Vent
  2. Left Instrument Panel Vent with Position Sensor in Left Side Vent -G628-
    • In the "Comfort" version with Position Sensor in Left Side Vent -G628-.
    • To check, use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding"  function an. Refer to the Appropriate Wiring Diagram.
    • Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - AIR ROUTING AND AIR DISTRIBUTION IN PASSENGER COMPARTMENT .
      NOTE:

      After replacement of the instrument panel vent, perform an adaptation for the Climatronic Control Module -J255- control head to the end stops on the potentiometer. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

  3. Left Vent Temperature Sensor -G150-
    • To check, use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding"  function an. Refer to the Appropriate Wiring Diagram.
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to Left Vent Temperature Sensor -G150-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
    • An incorrectly installed vent temperature sensor causes flow-generated noise
  4. Defroster Vent for the Left Side Window
  5. Left Center Instrument Panel Vent with Position Sensor in Left Center Vent -G626-
    • In the "Convenience" version
    • To check, use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding"  function an. Refer to the Appropriate Wiring Diagram.
    • Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - AIR ROUTING AND AIR DISTRIBUTION IN PASSENGER COMPARTMENT .
      NOTE:

      After replacement of the instrument panel vent, perform an adaptation for the Climatronic Control Module -J255- control head to the end stops on the potentiometer. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding"  function.

  6. A/C System Control Head
    • Climatronic Control Module -J255-
    • There are different versions. Refer to the Parts information.
    • To check, use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding"  function an. Refer to the Appropriate Wiring Diagram.
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to DISPLAY AND CONTROL HEAD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
  7. Infrared Sensor
    • For determining the passenger compartment temperature
    • A dirty infrared sensor leads to problems regulating the A/C system. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
  8. Heater and A/C Unit, Left Side
  9. Left Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor -G261-
  10. Left Condensation Water Drain
  11. Left Front Seat
