Engine, Supporting In Installed Position

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the left and right foam block -arrow-.

-- Position the :10-222A  on the left and right suspension strut towers as illustrated.

CAUTION:

Danger of causing damage to the turbocharger assembly on BiTurbo Engines.

  • The spindles on the engine support bridge should only be attached to the engine lifting eyes and never engaged in the turbocharger assembly lifting eyes.

-- Engage the :10-222A/11  in the left and right engine lifting eyes.

-- Lightly pretension engine with spindles.
