-- Connect the coolant hose and clamp -1- to the left lower coolant pipe.

-- Close the drain plug -2-.

Audi RS6/RS7

-- Install the coolant hose and clamp -4-.

-- Install the coolant hose and connector coupling -1-. Refer to Figure.

-- Fill with coolant reservoir on the :VAS6096  with at least 15 liters (3.96 gallons) of premixed coolant with the proper mixture ratio.

-- Install the :VAG1274/8  on the coolant expansion tank.

-- Attach the :VAS6096  on the :VAG1274/8  .

-- Place the air outlet hose -1- in a small container -2-.

-- Close valves -A and B- by turning lever at a right angle to direction of flow.

-- Connect the hose -3- to compressed air.

• Pressure: 7 to 10 bar (101.5 to 145 psi) pressure.

-- Open valve -B- by turning level in direction of flow.

• The suction jet pump generates pressure in the coolant system; indicator on display instrument must move into green area.

-- Briefly open valve -A- by turning lever in direction of flow so that hose on the :VAS6096  coolant reservoir fills with coolant.

-- Close valve -A- again.

-- Leave valve -B- open another two minutes.

• More pressure is generated in the coolant system by the suction jet pump; indicator on display instrument must stay in green area.

-- Close valve -B-.

• Needle in the display instrument must remain in the green region, then the sufficient vacuum in the cooling system is obtained for the upcoming filling.

-- Remove pressurized air hose.

-- Open valve -A-.

• Coolant is extracted from the :VAS6096  coolant reservoir by pressure in the coolant system and the system is filled.

-- Remove the :VAS6096  from the :VAG1274/8  on coolant expansion tank.

-- Connect the pipe :VAG1274/10  to the :VAG1274/8  .

-- Fill coolant up to the top edge of the :VAG1274/10  .

-- Remove the plenum chamber cover. Refer to PLENUM CHAMBER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

NOTE:

Use a cloth to catch any leaking coolant.

-- Disconnect the heat exchanger coolant hose and pull it back until coolant starts to drain out of the bleed hole -arrow- in the coolant hose.

-- Slide the coolant hose onto the connection and secure with a clamp.

Audi S6/S7 

-- If the vehicle has a parking heater, switch it on for about 30 seconds.

-- Remove the lock carrier cover. Refer to ATTACHMENTS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Open the bleed screw -arrow-.

-- Fill the coolant until it escapes from the bleed hole.

-- Close the bleeder screw.

-- Extract coolant up to the max.

-- Tighten the cap -arrow- on the coolant expansion tank until it locks into place.

-- Start the engine.

-- Turn off engine and allow it to cool off.

-- Install the lock carrier cover. Refer to ATTACHMENTS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the plenum chamber cover. Refer to PLENUM CHAMBER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Check the coolant level. Refer to CHECK THE COOLANT LEVEL .
