Left Catalytic Converter, Removing And Installing: Removing
During installation, all cable ties must be installed at the same location.
-- Remove the Oxygen Sensor 2 after Catalytic Converter -G131-. Refer to HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 2 -G108- /OXYGEN SENSOR 2 AFTER CATALYTIC CONVERTER -G131-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove The Subframe Crossbrace. Refer to SUBFRAME CROSSBRACE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
The Suspension Components Could Be Damaged.
- Do not rest the vehicle on its wheels if the subframe mount, the steering gear or the subframe crossbrace are not installed correctly.
-- Remove the left front muffler. Refer to FRONT MUFFLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove The Left Front Wheel Housing Liner. Refer to FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the steering intermediate shaft from the steering gear and then push the splines into each other. Refer to STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the bolt -2- and the nut -3- and press the coolant pipe on the transmission to the side.
Ignore items -1 and 4-.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and cover -1- from the transmission.
-- Loosen the threaded connection -2- and move the tab -1- downward in direction of -arrow-.
-- Remove the nuts -arrows-.
Ignore item -1-.
-- Mount the :T10337 on the engine and gearbox jack and attach it to the bottom of the transmission.
-- Lift the transmission slightly with the engine and gearbox jack.
There Is The Risk Of An Accident.
- The engine and gearbox jack may only be used during assembly and must not be left unsupervised under the vehicle.
-- Remove the bolts from the tunnel crossmember -arrows-.
-- Lower the tunnel crossmember to dimension -a- using the :VAS6931 .
- Dimension -a- = maximum 70 mm.
-- Remove the left catalytic converter.
