Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) Pipes, Removing And Installing: Removing

NOTE:

General repair instructions. Refer to GENERAL REPAIR INFORMATION .

Pay attention to clean working conditions for the transmission. Refer to GUIDELINES FOR CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

Seal the open lines and connections with clean plugs from the :VAS6122  .

Check ATF level after replacing ATF pipes. Refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID (ATF) LEVEL, CHECKING .

CAUTION:

Danger of causing damage to the transmission.

  • Remove all the plugs on the ATF pipes and on the transmission that were installed during removal.
  • The ATF cooling function will not work and the transmission will be damaged if the plugs are forgotten.

-- Place the :SMN372500  under the transmission.

-- Remove the clamps -1 and 4- and disconnect the ATF lines.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the ATF lines.

-- Seal the open lines and connections with clean plugs from the :VAS6122  .
