Selector Mechanism
WARNING:
There is a risk of injury and accident from accidentally engaging a gear when the engine is running.
- Before work is done with the engine running, move the selector lever into "P" and press the parking brake button to engage the electromechanical parking brake.
- O-Ring
- Replace after removing
- Selector Lever Cable
- Do not bend
- Removing and installing. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Bolt
- For selector lever cable adjustment
- Tightening specification, refer to -item 6-.
- Transmission Park Selector Switch -F305-
- Consists of two micro-switches on the circuit board on the Shift Lock Solenoid - N110-.
- Can only be replaced together with the Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-. Refer to Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-
- Removing and installing. Refer to Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Cap
- Via the Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-
- Selector Lever Sensor System Control Module -J587- with Tiptronic Switch -F189-
- Removing and installing. Refer to Selector Lever Sensor System Control Module -J587-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Nut
- 8 Nm
- Quantity: 4
- For securing the shift mechanism to the body
- Seal
- Selector Mechanism
- Can only be replaced as a unit
- Removing and installing. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Perform "Guided Functions" using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester after removing and installing the selector mechanism.
- Clip
- For selector lever cable
- Noise Insulation
- Not equipped on all vehicles
- Allocation. Refer to the parts information.
- Lock Washers
- For the noise insulation
- Quantity: 4
- Replace after removing
