Pinpoint Test BA : The Headlamps On Warning Chime Is Inoperative

- BA1 CHECK THE SAFETY BELT WARNING CHIME OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Monitor the safety belt warning chime when the ignition is transitioned from OFF to RUN.
Does the safety belt warning chime operate for approximately 6 seconds?
Yes GO to BA2. No - BA2 CHECK THE INTERIOR LAMPS OPERATION
- Open and close the driver door.
- Observe the interior lamps.
Do the interior lamps operate correctly from the driver door?
Yes For vehicles without push-button start, GO to BA3. For vehicles with push-button start, GO to BA4. No REFER to Interior Lighting . - BA3 CHECK THE KEY-IN-IGNITION WARNING CHIME OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Insert the key into the ignition lock cylinder.
- Open the LH front door and observe the key-in-ignition warning chime operation.
Does the key-in-ignition warning chime operate correctly?
Yes GO to BA4. No - BA4 PERFORM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
Yes REFER to DTC Chart: IPC . No GO to BA5. - BA5 PERFORM THE BCM SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the BCM self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
Yes REFER to Multifunction Electronic Modules . No BCM Hardware Testing .
