Pinpoint Test B : B2900

  1. B1 VERIFY THE BCM VIN

    • Ignition ON.
    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, compare the VIN in the BCM to the VIN plate on the vehicle.

    Does VIN in the BCM match the VIN plate? 

    Yes  GO to  B2.
    No  RECONFIGURE the BCM. FOLLOW the diagnostic scan tool instructions.

  2. B2 VERIFY THE ABS MODULE PART NUMBER

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, retrieve and record the ABS module part number.
    • Compare the part number retrieved to the part number in the parts catalog or equivalent.

    Is the correct ABS module installed in the vehicle? 

    Yes  CONFIGURE the ABS module. REFER to Module Configuration .
    No  INSTALL a new ABS module. REFER to Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module .
