Removal And Installation

All vehicles

NOTE: Clean all exhaust connections before reassembly.

1.

Remove the muffler and tailpipe. Refer to Muffler and Tailpipe .

Short wheelbase vehicles (SWB)

2.

Remove the muffler.
- 1.
  
  Remove the catalytic converter to muffler bolts.
- 2.
  
  Remove the isolator bracket bolts.
  - Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- 3.
  
  Detach the isolator and remove the muffler.

Long wheelbase vehicles (LWB)

Remove the muffler.
- 1.
  
  Remove the catalytic converter to muffler bolts.
- 2.
  
  Remove the isolator bracket bolts.
  - Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- 3.
  
  Detach the isolators and remove the muffler.

Installation

1.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

2.

Check the exhaust system for leaks.
