Cooling Circuit Solenoid Valve -N492-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING

Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm 3094
Hose Clip Pliers VAS6340

Removing

-- Drain the coolant, refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Remove the engine cover, refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the connector -1-.

-- Open the retainer -arrow- and move the Coolant Recirculation Pump -V50- to the side.

NOTE:

Ignore item -2-.

-- Disconnect the connector -5-.

-- Remove the nut -4- and the bolt -2- and separate the threaded connection -1-.

NOTE:

Place a clean cloth under the separating point to catch the escaping coolant.

Loosen the hose clamp -3- and remove the coolant hose.

NOTE:

Place a clean cloth under the separating point to catch the escaping coolant.

-- Remove the bolt -1-.

-- Loosen the bolt -4- approximately 2 turns but do not remove.

-- Loosen the clamp -2- and remove the coolant hose.

-- Lift the bracket for the pump unit slightly and remove the Cooling Circuit Solenoid Valve - N492-.

NOTE:

Ignore item -3-.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps of the same type as those equipped by the factory .

-- Install the engine cover, refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

NOTE:

Do not reuse used coolant.

-- Fill the coolant, refer to Filling - Hybrid Vehicles.
