Overview - Cylinder Block, Transmission Side

- Sealing Flange with Seal
- Replacing
- Removing and installing, refer to SEALING FLANGE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, TRANSMISSION SIDE .
- Do not oil or grease the sealing lip of seal
- Before installing, remove oil remains from crankshaft journal with a clean cloth
- Bolt
- Drive Plate
- Removing and installing, refer to DRIVE PLATE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Bolt
- 60 Nm +90° turn
- Replacing
- Needle Bearing
- For removing and installing the needle bearing, refer to NEEDLE BEARING IN DRIVE PLATE, REPLACING .
- Intermediate Plate
- Must be located on dowel sleeves
- Be careful not to damage or bend when installing
- Is hooked in at sealing flange, refer to Fig 4
- Alignment Sleeve
-- Tighten the bolts -1 through 8- in the sequence shown:
-- 1. Hand-tighten the bolts.
-- 2. Tighten the bolts to 9 Nm.
-- Tighten the new bolts -1 through 6- in the sequence shown:
-- 1. Hand-tighten the bolts.
-- 2. Tighten the bolts to 4 Nm + 45° turn.
NOTE:
Only six bolts are installed, two bolt openings remain open.
-- Hook in intermediate plate at sealing flange and push it onto the alignment sleeves -arrows-.
