Cylinder Block, Assembly Overview, Non-Hybrid Vehicles With The Engine Code CDZA

  1. Ribbed Belt
    • Check for wear
    • Do not kink
    • Ribbed belt routing Fig 3
      CAUTION:

      Risk of damage due to reversed running direction on a used ribbed belt.

      • Before removing ribbed belt, marking running direction with chalk or felt-tip pen for reinstallation later.
    • Removing and installing, refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, HYBRID VEHICLES WITH ENGINE CODE CHJA .
    • When installing, make sure it is seated correctly on the pulleys
  2. Ribbed belt tensioner
  3. Bolt
    • Replacing
    • 8 Nm + 45° additional turn
  4. Bolt
    • Replacing
    • Coat the O-ring with oil.
    • 150 Nm +90°
    • Use the Counterhold - Vibration Damper T10475 to loosen and tighten
  5. O-Ring
    • Not a replacement part; supplied with the bolt
  6. Vibration damper
  7. Auxiliary Components Bracket
  8. Seal
    • Replacing
  9. Bolt
    • Tightening specification and sequence Fig 2.
  10. Bolt
  11. Generator
  12. Alignment Sleeve
    • For A/C compressor
  13. A/C Compressor
    • Do not remove or disconnect refrigerant lines
    • Removing and Installing .
  14. Bolt
    • Tightening specifications .

-- Mount the accessory assembly bracket and then mount the bolts -4-.

-- Tighten bolts in three stages in -1 through 5- sequence as follows:

-- Tighten bolts by hand.-- Tighten the bolts to 20 Nm.-- Tighten the bolts an additional 90°.
