Power Take-Off Drive Chain, Removing And Installing: Installing

-- Mount the chain tensioner together with the chain and the balance shaft sprocket.

-- Lock the balance shaft in the "TDC" position with the Locking Pin T40116.

-- Tighten the chain tensioner bolts.

-- Install the chain sprocket bolts -1- loosely.

-- Remove the Locking Pin T40071 to release the chain tensioner.

-- Press against the chain tensioner guide rail with a screwdriver in direction of -arrow- and simultaneously tighten the bolts -1- for the chain sprocket.

-- Remove the Locating Pins T40116 from the balance shaft.

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, while noting the following:

-- Install the lower timing chain cover, refer to LOWER TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the locking bolt "TDC" mark crankshaft, refer to Fig 3.
