Right cylinder head cover, removing and installing

Removing

CAUTION: Note rules of cleanliness for working on the fuel injection system → Rules for cleanliness .
CAUTION: Fuel system is under pressure! Before opening system, place clean rags around connection. Then release pressure by carefully loosening connection.

NOTE:
  • Extractor T40039 can be used for removal.

Installing 

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

NOTE:
  • Replace cylinder head cover gaskets if damaged.
  • Replace bolts for cylinder head cover if gasket is damaged.

Cylinder head cover to cylinder head 10
Wiring for ignition coils at cylinder head cover 5 * See note
Fuel supply line to fuel rail 22

* Insert using locking compound; locking compound .
