Right Flange Shaft, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Always replace the flange shaft locking ring -A-.

-- Clamp the flange shaft in a vise with jaw protectors. Use the new circlip -A- to press the previous circlip out of the flange shaft groove.

-- Check the right flange shaft seal -arrow- for damage and replace it if necessary. Refer to RIGHT SEAL, REPLACING .

-- Fill the space between the sealing and dust lip halfway with Sealing Grease G 052 128 A1.

-- Drive in the flange shaft using the Bearing/Bushing Installer - Multiple Use VW295.

-- Check and fill the gear oil in front final drive. Refer to GEAR OIL, CHECKING LEVEL .
