New Connecting Rod, Separating

New connecting rods might not be completely separated at the predetermined breaking point. If the connecting rod bearing cap cannot be removed by hand, proceed as follows:
- Mark the cylinder where the connecting rod is allocated to -item 4-. See Figure.
- Lightly clamp the connecting rod -1- in a vise equipped with aluminum protective pads.
- Clamp the connecting rod lightly to prevent damaging it.
- Clamp the connecting rod below the dotted line.
- Loosen both bolts -2- approximately five turns.
