Overview - Selector Mechanism

- Before work is done with the engine running, move the selector lever into "P" and press the parking brake button to engage the electromechanical parking brake.
Before disassembling the selector mechanism, perform check. Refer to GEARSHIFT MECHANISM, CHECKING .

- For securing the shift mechanism to the body

- Seal
- Selector Lever Sensor System Control Module -J587- with Tiptronic Switch -F189-
- Selector Mechanism Function Unit
- Can only be replaced as a unit
- Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- Perform "Guided Functions " using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester after removing and installing the selector mechanism function unit. Refer to TRANSMISSION GUIDED FUNCTIONS .
- Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-
- Transmission Park Selector Switch -F305-
- Consists of two micro-switches on the circuit board on the Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-.
- Can only be replaced together with the Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-. Refer to Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Noise Insulation
- Not installed on all vehicles
- Pay attention to the allocation.
- Lock Washers
- Replace
- Quantity: 4
- For attaching the noise insulation to the selector mechanism function unit
- Clip
- Secure the selector lever cable to the selector mechanism function unit
- O-Ring
- Replace

- Do not bend
