Installation [08/2013 - ]

  1. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 4 guides and temporarily install the instrument panel safety pad assembly as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:
      • Do not damage the instrument panel safety pad assembly.
      • Do not allow the wire harnesses to interfere with the surrounding parts.
    2. Install the 3 clips.
    3. Install the 4 bolts <C> and nut <F>.
    4. Install the 2 instrument panel passenger airbag assembly bolts <A>.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

    5. Engage the 2 claws to connect the cooler (room temp. sensor) thermistor.
    6. Engage each clamp.
    7. Connect each connector.
  2. CONNECT NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE  . Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ] - Step 4
  3. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 8 claws to install the instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly.
  4. INSTALL FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ] - Step 5
  5. INSTALL NO. 1 SPEAKER OPENING COVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and 4 clips to install the No. 1 speaker opening cover assembly.

  6. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)  . Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ] - Step 1
  7. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 3 guides.

    2. Engage the 2 clips to install the No. 1 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.
  8. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH  See step  30
  9. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side. Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ] - Step 1 .

  10. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 3 guides.

    2. Engage the 2 clips to install the No. 2 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.
  11. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side See step  30.

  12. INSTALL NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 4 claws, 2 clips and 2 guides to install the No. 3 instrument panel register assembly.
  13. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect each connector.
    2. Engage the 5 claws.

    3. Install the 2 screws <E>.
    4. Open the lower instrument panel sub-assembly door as shown in the illustration.

    5. Install the lower instrument panel sub-assembly with the 3 screws <E>.
  14. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX DOOR COVER 
    1. Engage the 4 claws to install the instrument panel box door cover as shown in the illustration.

    2. Close the lower instrument panel sub-assembly door as shown in the illustration.

  15. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ] - Step 1
  16. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connector.
    2. Engage the 2 guides, claw and 4 clips to install the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  17. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH 
    1. Engage the 2 guides as shown in the illustration.

    2. Engage the 2 claws and 4 clips to install the instrument side panel RH as shown in the illustration.

  18. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side See step  31.

  19. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side See step  32.

  20. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side See step  33.

  21. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ] 

  22. INSTALL ACCESSORY METER ASSEMBLY (for Radio Receiver Type)  . Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ] - Step 1
  23. INSTALL MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY (except Radio Receiver Type)  . Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ] - Step 1
  24. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 clips and 5 guides as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly with the 2 clips.
  25. INSTALL SWITCH BASE 
    1. Connect the connector.
    2. Engage the 3 claws to install the switch base.
  26. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 6 claws and 2 guides to install the No. 1 instrument panel register assembly.
  27. INSTALL NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE 
    1. Connect each connector.
    2. Engage the 4 claws to install the No. 1 switch hole base.
  28. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ] - Step 1
  29. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL 
    1. Connect each connector.
    2. Engage the 12 claws, 2 clips and guide.
    3. Install the lower No. 1 instrument panel finish panel with the 2 bolts <B>.
  30. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the claw and 2 guides to connect the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.
  31. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH 
    1. Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Engage the 2 claws and 4 clips to install the instrument side panel LH as shown in the illustration.

  32. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH  See step  31
  33. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH  See step  32
  34. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH  See step  33
  35. INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (for Radio Receiver Type)  . Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ] - Step 9
  36. INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (for Radio and Display Type)  . Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ] - Step 9
  37. INSTALL MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (for Multi-Media Module Receiver Type)  . Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ] - Step 6
  38. INSTALL LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and 5 clips to install the lower center instrument panel finish panel as shown in the illustration.

  39. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connector.
    2. Engage the 11 claws and clip to install the No. 2 instrument panel register assembly.

      NOTE:

      When installing the No. 2 instrument panel register assembly, check that the wire harness is not caught between the No. 2 instrument panel register assembly and duct.

  40. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH 
    1. Connect the connector.
    2. Engage the 10 claws and 2 clips to install the center instrument cluster finish panel garnish.

  41. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connector.
    2. Engage the 5 claws and 2 guides.

    3. Install the 2 screws <E> to install the instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.
  42. INSTALL TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ] - Step 6
  43. INSTALL UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ] - Step 7
  44. INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER (for Manual Tilt and Manual Telescopic Steering Column)  . Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ] - Step 8
  45. INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER (for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column)  . Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ] - Step 9
  46. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ] - Step 9
  47. INSTALL HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ]

  48. CONNECT CABLE TO AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL (for Manual Tilt and Manual Telescopic Steering Column) 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2013 - ] .

  49. CONNECT CABLE TO AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL (for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column) 
    NOTE:
  50. INSTALL LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ] - Step 3
  51. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2013 - ]
