Removal [08/2013 - ]

WARNING:

- Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat frame and adjuster may injure your hands.
- If the front seat airbag assembly was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, front seatback frame sub-assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage. Refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2013 - ] .
HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
- REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE POWER SEAT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side with Power Seat Switch Assembly) . Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] - Step 1
- DISCONNECT FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
w/o Foot Light: Refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2013 - ] - Step 3
w/ Foot Light: Refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2013 - ] - Step 4
- REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD . Refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2013 - ] - Step 6
- REMOVE FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD . Refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2013 - ] - Step 10
- REMOVE FRONT POWER ADJUSTER SHIELD . Refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2013 - ] - Step 11
- REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD . Refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2013 - ] - Step 18
- DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
- w/o Seat Heater System:
- Disengage the 2 clamps.
- w/ Seat Heater System:
- Disconnect the connector.
- Disengage the 3 clamps.
- w/o Seat Heater System:
- REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2013 - ] - Step 23
- REMOVE SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL COVER (w/ Climate Control Seat System) . Refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2013 - ] - Step 24
- REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD . Refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2013 - ] - Step 25
- REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY WARNING:
When storing the front seat airbag assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.
- Disengage the 2 clamps.
- Remove the 2 nuts and the front seat airbag assembly.WARNING:
- The nuts must not be reused.
- Make sure that the front seatback frame sub-assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
