Inspection [08/2013 - ]

  1. INSPECT HYBRID BATTERY JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Inspect SMRB
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        A-1 (+) - S2-1 (CBI) Auxiliary battery voltage is not applied between terminals Q6-1 (SMRB) and Q6-2 (GND) 10 kΩ or higher
        A-1 (+) - S2-1 (CBI) Auxiliary battery voltage is applied between terminals Q6-1 (SMRB) and Q6-2 (GND) Below 1 Ω
        TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

        *a Component without harness connected
        (Hybrid Battery Junction Block Assembly)
      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        Q6-1 (SMRB) - Q6-2 (GND) -40 to 80°C (-40 to 176°F) 25.0 to 59.0 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the hybrid battery junction block assembly.

    2. Inspect SMRG
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        f1-1 (-) - S3-1 (CEI) Auxiliary battery voltage is not applied between terminals Q6-3 (SMRG) and Q6-2 (GND) 10 kΩ or higher
        f1-1 (-) - S3-1 (CEI) Auxiliary battery voltage is applied between terminals Q6-3 (SMRG) and Q6-2 (GND) Below 1 Ω

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        Q6-3 (SMRG) - Q6-2 (GND) -40 to 80°C (-40 to 176°F) 25.0 to 59.0 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the hybrid battery junction block assembly.

    3. Inspect SMRP
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        f1-1 (-) - S3-1 (CEI) Auxiliary battery voltage is not applied between terminals Q6-4 (SMRP) - Q6-2 (GND) 10 kΩ or higher
        f1-1 (-) - S3-1 (CEI) Auxiliary battery voltage is applied between terminals Q6-4 (SMRP) - Q6-2 (GND) 28.5 to 31.5 Ω

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        Q6-4 (SMRP) - Q6-2 (GND) -40 to 80°C (-40 to 176°F) 112 to 274 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the hybrid battery junction block assembly.
