Parking brake cables (AWD vehicles), removing and installing

NOTE:
  • The parking brake cable adjusting elements are in front of the rear lower transverse links.

Removing:

NOTE:
  • Do not damage parking brake boot when removing and installing.

Before installing new parking brake cables you must remove the parking brake lever and reset the mechanism.

Removing and installing parking brake lever → Parking brake handle, removing and installing 

Installing

NOTE:
  • Clip attachment on retainer - 4  - must always face outside of the vehicle.
NOTE:
  • Do not damage parking brake boot when removing and installing.
