ATF Cooler Pipe and Hose: Installation

CAUTION: When installing the ATF cooler pipe assembly on vehicle side, be careful not to bend the A/C pipe.

Install the ATF cooler pipe to the vehicle.
Tightening torque:

7.5 N.m (0.76 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)
Install the A/C pipe to clip.
Install the battery cable bracket, and install the battery cable clip to the bracket.
Tightening torque:

7.5 N.m (0.76 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

Connect the harness connector to the A/C pressure switch.

Lift up the vehicle.
Install the ATF cooler inlet and outlet pipes.
NOTE: Use a new washer.

Tightening torque:

T1: 25 N.m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb)

T2:40 N.m (4.1 kgf-m, 29.5 ft-lb)

T3:45 N.m (4.6 kgf-m, 33.2 ft-lb)

Connect the ATF cooler hose to the ATF cooler pipe on the transmission side.
NOTE:
- Use a new ATF cooler hose.
- Install so that the ATF cooler hose is not folded over, excessively bent or twisted.
- Insert the ATF cooler hose to the specified position.

Connect the ATF cooler hose to the ATF cooler pipe on the radiator side.
NOTE:
- Use a new ATF cooler hose.
- Install so that the ATF cooler hose is not folded over, excessively bent or twisted.
- Insert the ATF cooler hose to the specified position.

Install the heat shield cover, (turbo model)
Tightening torque:

3 N.m (0.3 kgf-m, 2.2 ft-lb)

Install the undercover. < Ref. to INSTALLATION , Front Under Cover. >
Install the battery.
Check the ATF level. < Ref. to INSPECTION , Automatic Transmission Fluid. >

NOTE: Make sure there are no ATF leaks in joints between the transmission, radiator, ATF cooler pipes, and ATF cooler hoses.
