Convertible Top, Removing And Installing: Notes

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Pry Lever:80-200
Wiring Harness Repair Set:VAS1978B
Scissor Lift Table:VAS6131B
Convertible Roof Holder:VAS6586

NOTE:

The :VAS6586 can be secured via the holes in the crossmember on the :VAS6131B or on a workbench.

For the convertible top to be in the installation position, it must be secured to the main bearing via threaded holes >>A; B; C; D and E<< of the mounting plates.

First, screw the mounting plates slightly onto the main bearing.

Insert the convertible top with the mounting plates into the :VAS6586 and tighten the screws on the main bearing.

For proper functioning, the hydraulic pump must be hung in installation position onto the hook on the crossmember.

CAUTION:

There is a risk of damaging the rear seat backrest.

To avoid damaging or putting indents in the rear seat backrest, place foam pieces between the body and the backrest.
To avoid damaging the back side of the backrest, place a suitable cover over it.
