Rear Lid, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the rear lid trim panel. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANELS

-- Disconnect the connectors -1 through 7-.

-- Free up the wiring harness on the rear lid -arrow-.

-- Carefully unclip the cover -1- on the hinge -3- -arrows-.

-- Remove the grommet -2- from the body pass through on the rear lid and guide out the wiring harness.

-- Remove the nut -3-.

WARNING:

Risk of injury!

A second technician must support and hold the rear lid while it is being removed and installed.

-- Loosen the nut -2- a few turns.

-- Remove the rear lid -1- from the hinge in the direction of the -arrow- with a second technician.
