Sill-Side Trim, Removing And Installing, Power Standard Seat, With Or Without Memory Function: Removing

-- Move the seat as high up as possible.

-- Remove the expanding rivet -2- from the sill-side trim -1-.

-- Open the clip -3-.

-- Unclip the trim -1- on the retaining bracket -2-.

-- Disengage the trim in the seat/backrest hinge area.

NOTE:

Ensure the bracket -4- is not damaged when removing the trim.

-- Release the catch -arrow- on the storage compartment -2- and remove the sill-side trim -1- upward.

-- Pull the sill-side trim slightly forward off the bracket and remove it upward.

-- Pull the trim as far upward from the retaining bracket as the wires allow.

-- Disconnect the connector -5- on the lumbar support adjustment switch -4-.

-- Disconnect the connector -1- on the seat adjustment control head -2- and free up the wire.

-- Vehicles with neck heating: disconnect the connector on the cabin heater switch.

-- Remove the sill-side trim -3-.
