Front Backrest, Removing And Installing, Power Standard Seat: Removing

Follow all safety precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". For example, this can be done by briefly touching the door striker.

-- Remove The Front Seat:

Standard and Power Sport Seat, Comfort Seat and Super Sport Seat. Refer to POWER FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Attach the front seat to the :VAS6136 . Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .

-- Remove the tunnel-side trim. Refer to TUNNEL-SIDE TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, STANDARD SEAT, SPORT SEAT, SUPER SPORT SEAT .

-- Remove the sill-side trim. Refer to SILL-SIDE TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, POWER STANDARD SEAT, WITH OR WITHOUT MEMORY FUNCTION .

-- Disconnect the wiring harness connectors for the backrest and free up the disconnected wiring harnesses. Refer to MODULAR WIRE ROUTING WITH CORRUGATED TUBE ON FRONT SEAT .

NOTE:

The Wiring Harness Between The Connector Station And The Thorax Airbag Is Continuous.

-- Remove the bolts -2-.

-- Tilt the backrest -3- forward onto the seat pan -1-.

-- Press the seat pan cushion to the side and carefully remove the thorax airbag wiring harness -4- and, if necessary, all additional wiring harnesses -5- to the backrest (depending on the equipment version) from the seat pan.

-- Remove the backrest.
