Sill Panel Trim, Removing And Installing, AUDI RS5: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

NOTE:

Remove and install damaged clips and rubber grommet.

-- Clean the adhesive surface on the vehicle body with Cleaning Solution:D 009 401 04 .

-- Attach a pull assist -A and B- on the ends of the protective film.

Install the sill panel trim in the following order:

-- 1. Coat the sealing lip -4- on the sill panel trim with lubricant.

-- 2. Position the sill panel trim -1- to the sill and press it into the front mount on the fender.

-- 3. Press the sill panel trim into the rubber grommets -5- on the side panel and align it to the body contour.

-- 4. Peel off protective film and press on the entire length of the sill panel trim using a :3356 .

Observe bottom gap dimensions on the rear door edge.
Resting time approximately 30 minutes at room temperature
Wait at least 24 hours before using.

-- 5. Tighten nuts and bolts -2- to the specification.
