Battery, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Turn off the ignition and remove the key.

-- Lift the luggage compartment floor and engage it on the body.

-- Remove the wind deflector from its mount.

-- Remove the nut -1- and remove the wind deflector mount -2-.

-- Remove the tool kit mount -2-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the bracket -1-.

-- Connect the battery charger for battery support mode. Refer to BATTERY, CHARGING .

-- Loosen the nut -4- several turns and remove the ground cable from the battery pole.

-- Remove the cover -3- over the positive terminal.

-- Loosen the nut -2- several turns and remove the battery positive cable terminal with fuse panel A from the battery terminal.

-- Disconnect the hose -5- for the central venting system.

-- Remove the bolt -6- on the battery bracket -7-.

-- Remove the battery -1- from the battery mount.

-- Remove battery from luggage compartment.
