Hydraulic System Safety Precautions

CAUTION:
- Always follow the instructions when disconnecting the battery. Refer to BATTERY .
WARNING:
Danger of causing personal injury and/or damaging the vehicle.
- Take the necessary precautions to make sure the convertible top cannot open or close while you are working on it.
- The hydraulic system is self-bleeding and maintenance-free.
- It is not necessary to fill the hydraulic cylinder or the hoses with hydraulic fluid.
- There is sufficient hydraulic oil in the system so that the oil level does not go under the MIN markings.
- If work is done as a result of hydraulic fluid loss, the fluid level should be checked before operating and adjusted if necessary.
WARNING:
The hydraulic system is under pressure, which can cause serious personal injury.
- The hydraulic pressure within the system must be released before starting any work on the convertible top system.
-- With the ignition switched off, press the Power Top Operation Switch -E137- -1- for approximately five seconds.

- The pressure in the hydraulic system will come down.
