Overview - Front Brakes, 1LM: Overview

Bolt
- 5 Nm
  NOTE:
  Clean Bolts Before Reusing
  
  Replace Damaged Bolts
  
  Always replace self-locking bolts.
Brake Rotor
- Wear limit. Refer to PR NUMBER ALLOCATION - BRAKES .
- Always Replace On Both Axles.
- Remove the brake caliper before removing
- Coat contact surfaces between brake rotor and wheel hub with Polycarbamide grease. Refer to the Parts Information..
- Refer to BRAKE ROTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 1LM

Cover Plate Bolt
- 10 Nm
Cover Plate
- BRAKE SHIELD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 1LM
Stub Axle Carrier
NOTE:
Attach the brake hose bracket and brake pad wear indicator wire on the stub axle carrier. Bracket bolt 9 Nm
Speed Sensor
- Removing and installing.
Bolt
- 9 Nm

Brake Hose
NOTE:
Brake Hose In Brake Caliper: 16 Nm.

Brake Pressure Line To Brake Hose: 16 Nm.

Brake Pad Spring
- Two installed in every brake caliper
- ensure installation position is correct.
Brake Caliper Bolt
- 196 Nm.
  NOTE:
  Clean Bolts Before Reusing
  
  Replace Damaged Bolts
  
  Always replace self-locking bolts.
Brake Caliper
- When working on the brake caliper, do not let it hang by the brake hose, but secure it to the body with suitable cable ties or wire.
- Except for "Brake Pads, Removing and Installing" and "Front Brake Caliper, Servicing", no further repairs should made to the brake caliper.
- Hose must be installed free of twists
  NOTE:
  Bleed the brake caliper at both bleed screws.
  
  Bleed Screw Tightening Specification:15 Nm.
  
  NOTE:
  No repairs may be performed on the brake caliper.

Brake Pads
- Four Installed In Each Front Brake Caliper
  WARNING:
  Four brake pads are installed per side. Only the inner, upper brake pad in the left brake caliper has a connection to the brake pad wear indicator.
- The backing plate of the brake pads are equipped with an adhesive film. Remove the protective film from the adhesive surface before inserting.
- Always Replace On Both Axles.
- Refer to BRAKE PADS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 1LM
- Check the brake pad thickness. Refer to appropriate service information.
  NOTE:
  Before installing new brake pads, thoroughly clean the brake calipers of contaminants (grease-free). When doing so, pay particular attention to removing any remaining adhesive foil on outer brake pad contact surfaces.

NOTE:

Close The Bleed Screw And Tighten To 14 Nm.
